This street, Rue de la Chaîne, looks charming and full of criss cross patterned houses from the medieval times. Iron gaslights and houses with timber frames don the streets. The biggest attraction on this street is the majestic, curving facade of Hôtel Fumé. Built in the 15th and 16th centuries by the then city’s mayor, it now houses the university’s humanities department.
