If you use an iPhone or iPad, you will have the Apple Books App already installed. If not, click here.
If you are using an Android Device, then go to Play store and download Google Play Books which is free. Download it here. You can also use Kindle or Kobo Books or Pocket Books or any app of your choice.
Open the file that you get on your device, and it will open in your default app and will be stored in the library of that app.
Whenever you want to read, open it again and it will open from where you left it last time. You use the book and swipe the pages exactly like a physical book as shown in the video.
But the e version is so dynamic that using it will change the way you look at books. You can go directly to any date using the index. Click anywhere on the screen and it will show this option. Click Contents and you can find the index. The book is arranged in chronological order of day of the month.
You can also search any word using the Search button. You can set your own theme by changing fonts, background color, size of the text, line spacing, character spacing, word spacing.
If you find something worth keeping, you can also bookmark it and you can also highlight the text this way. You can also take notes on this. Both your highlights and bookmarks can be found in the contents.
Also, the books have many clickable links like the Prefaces or Glory to God or Introductory Rites or such texts which is common to daily mass. Click on the link to go to the page and when you are done, come back to your original page by clicking the back button on top. Here is how to do it. You will find below a link (with underline) which means if you click it, it leads to a page with the content you clicked for:
This is the Clickable Link and it will take you to the desired page
Once you are done reading your desired page, click on the original page you were on and it will take you back there as demonstrated below:
By clicking on your original page number displayed on top, you will be back where you had left.
You can also find many prayers at the end of the book which we will continue to add. This will be handy for you any time. Since this is stored in your phone, you are ready with the mass or prayers anytime.
When the new issue arrives, you can delete the previous month’s book from your library. And reach out to us in case of any doubt at [email protected]
