Syria: More than 50% of children are deprived of education

After almost a decade of war, the education system in Syria continues to be particularly affected by the crisis. UNICEF reports more than half of Syrian children are not in school due to attacks on education facilities and personnel, coupled with further disruptions to education due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
